Greetings from Bayonne, NJ

Welcome to the Fitzpatrick Family News blog, your one-stop-shopping for all the news that we can tell you about.

Very often we hear some variation of the same question, "How are the kids?" It isn't that we don't like talking about them, it's just hard not to bore the listener to tears with the same answers. Plus, it's hard to condense the goings-on of six children and two adults and all that entails into a Reader's Digest-type story. You can't do it.

For now, this is a work in progress. You'll find stories here about what the kids did at the park today, or what field trip they went on, or the latest happenings at one of Brian's three jobs. We'll try to upload photos as we get them, and perhaps throw in some pictures to older posts if we come across them. So check back early and often.

Enjoy!

House Hunting

We have outgrown our house.

That will happen in a three-bedroom house when you have six children and four adults, counting my Kim's mom and her husband. Four humans in one room may be better suited to the US Navy than a family of eight. Now if we could only get those Navy-style bunks. You know, the ones that fold down from the wall. Perhaps we could get the kids to sleep in shifts, too....

At the moment, we are concentrating our search in the Howell/Jackson area, right along the border with Monmouth and Ocean counties. Far enough away from the city to be suburbia but no so far that I have a voyage to get to work. I would have liked to go back to the South Brunswick Area, but prices are much too high there, and the rooms are smaller.
